In the light of an old lighthouse

.
The lighthouses have been a light that has guided and has served since antiquity as a reference and coastal warning for boats. In charge of the maintenance of this great lantern, the beacons of lighthouses or better known as lighthouse keepers, have played a century-old profession that is now in danger of extinction because of the technological advances that make this figure more and more dispensable. Currently, there are 187 lighthouses on the Spanish coast, and 22 are in Galicia, of which only 8 are still inhabited by torreros, that is to say that 1/6 of the lighthouses inhabited in Spain are Galician, according to Ports of the State. The lighthouse keeper has always been interpreted by authors and poets as a solitary figure who gives his life to the light that guides the ships to reach a good port.

Hard is the life of the lighthouse keeper, but also profitable, knows anyone who has known one as is my case.
How many stories Don Manuel tells us at the door of his lighthouse in the small neighborhood of Bouzas year after year.
