Why aggressive behavior in cats?
Apparently, early weaning (less than 12 weeks) increases the risk of aggressiveness and anxiety, and is that this separation of their mother figure is traumatic.
Weaning before 8 weeks of age increases the risk of aggression, but not fearful behavior. Conversely, weaning cats after 14 weeks of age have a lower likelihood of aggression towards strangers than early-weaned cats.
early weaning has a detrimental effect on behavior and, therefore, researchers suggest a delayed weaning as a simple and inexpensive approach to significantly improve the welfare of millions of cats.
