We tried to get above the fog..
.
It has been so cold and gloomy the last few weeks on the coast in San Diego's North County. We laughingly call this time of year, "June Gloom" which follows the persistent "May Grey".
So, by this time of year I was wanting some sunshine and warmer weather, What better way than to distance yourself away from the marine layer of fog.
I thought I would take a drive up to Escondido and the hills along Interstate 15, which is only a 30 minute drive from the coast eastward. Or inland. The area is sub arid around the hills and 646 feet above sea level.
The hills have huge boulders covered in wildflowers this time of year. Here are a few that were along the path that I think were really different and pretty. Hope you enjoy.
