Grandma cake. Recipe

This cake is very easy to prepare and barely messes up. If you do not want to complicate so much preparing a pastry cream, you can replace it with two sachets of prepared to make flan, although the resulting flavor will not be the same I assure you that you will succeed equally among your guests.


Ingredients:
1l Milk
1 Lemon peel
2 Cinnamon stick
200g Sugar
10 Maizena tablespoons
6 Egg yolks
200g chocolate
200ml liquid cream 35% fat
50g Butter
Enough milk to soak the cookies (3Packages)


We started by boiling milk the night before, with lemon peel and cinnamon sticks. We let it infuse all night to intensify its flavor. Then, in a saucepan we make 200 grams of sugar in a little of the milk (previously cast), add the egg yolks and the cornstarch. Place the saucepan on the fire and add the milk little by little and let the milk boil until the mixture thickens, always stirring so that it does not stick. We reserve it, covering the saucepan with plastic wrap. So that no crosta is formed it is necessary that the film paper touch directly with the cream. We put a layer of cookies slightly soaked in milk (not too much so they do not break) in the bottom of the mold. Above we spread the pastry cream and on it we put one more layer of cookies lightly soaked in milk. We put the mold in the fridge. While we prepare the chocolate coverage. Put the cream and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat until the chocolate melts. Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the butter. We let it temper and when it is almost cold we pour it into the mold. Store in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, best all night.
