Do you always give tips whenever you avail of a personal service from someone like in restaurants, hair salon, spa, etc?
Did you know that in UK, they have to make a law commanding restaurants to give all the tips to their staff instead of pocketing it themselves? There are restaurants that use the tips by customers as a pay for their staff. They use it as part of the salary. And this makes a lot of people in England angry about it.
In Britain, restaurant workers are the lowest paid staff and most of them rely on tips to survive. The food and drink industry in the UK is big and if tips were given directly to the staff, they could earn enough for their living rather than relying alone on their salary.
Of course with the new law, many staff are happy about it. They are fed up with the International chain restaurants keeping the tips that was meant for the waiters. The new law ensures that the restaurant staff are treated fairly.

Frenki › Here tip goes to worker, and you give tip if you want, if you are happy with his service as addition to his good works. So tip is for worker, I dont see why would I just add money to restaurant with tip when we already pay bill. Makes no sense to me that it goes to restaurant not workers.
