Bistek Tagalog is the Filipino version of the Beefsteak. It is comprised of thinly sliced beef cooked in soy sauce and lemon juice and garnished with caramelized onion rings.
How to cook bistek: Marinate beef in calamansi juice, soy sauce, Knorr liquid seasoning, pepper, and MSG for at least an hour. In a pan, heat some oil and stir fry onions until half cooked. Fry beef in oil until brown. Add more water if necessary until the beef is tender and there is some liquid left. Season to taste.
