How we celebrate women day the 8M and not other day?

.
The true origin of March 8... a terrible, bloody and unjust killing.

Despite the cheerful and vindictive connotation of March 8, International Women's Day, what is really remembered each year on this date is the terrible slaughter of 120 women workers in a textile factory in New York. The police murdered them in terrible burdens during a demonstration demanding better working conditions.

The story goes back more than 100 years, specifically on March 8, 1875, when hundreds of working women of a textile factory in New York marched through the streets against low wages, less than half of what they were charged. mens. That day ended with 120 women killed by police brutality and caused the workers to found the first women's union.

On March 25, 1911, one of the biggest disasters in the industry in the United States took place again. 146 workers died in a big fire of a textile factory because of landslides, burns and smoke poisoning and others committed suicide by not having escape.

Those responsible for those deaths were the owners of the Triangle Shirtwaist factory, which had sealed the doors of the stairs and exits to prevent employees from stealing. This terrible tragedy brought important changes in the labor legislation and caused the birth of the International Trade Union of Textile Women Workers.

It was not until 1909 when Socialist Women's Day in the US was held for the first time, on February 28. In 1910, the II International Conference of Socialist Women established March 8 as the International Day of Working Women.

The Russian feminist Alexandra Kollontai, who among other things won the vote for women or the legality of divorce, managed to establish March 8 as the official holiday in the Soviet Union. In Spain it began to be commemorated in 1936 and the UN made official this date in 1975.
