5,000 bikers disguised as Santa Claus dye the city of red
.
Up to 5,000 bikers disguised as Santa Claus have toured the center of Vigo this afternoon, according to the Motor Club Galicia organization. The departure took place at 16:10 hours from Venezuela Street towards Camelias street in the framework of the eighth edition of the Papanoelada Motera held in Vigo.
The departure was made with a great rumble of beeps, honks and engines in skidding that reflected the festive mood of the thousands of participants, which some sources raise to 5,000 if co-drivers are counted. It was a great visual spectacle since the street Venezuela was dyed red. In some moments, the exit caravan was stuck due to the high number of motorcycles that came out at the same time and the last motorist took eight minutes to get out of the finish line. From the beginning they threw candies to the children of the public.
Some of the attendees were accompanied by their young children and others were the fifth time they participated. Attendees donated a ton of food to the Food Bank and contributed 500 kilos of candy.
On Calle Areal, the bikers made a stop to hear some words from the mayor Abel Caballero, which generated traffic cuts throughout the area, and arriving at the Porta do Sol were confined to the massive procession of motorcycles.
Among the spontaneous that joined the Papanoelada is the pilot of an electric scooter that got into the middle of the biker march and that generated protests because of the risk it entailed for his safety.

thanks to people like you, families like mine get ahead
