Enjoying My Flowers While I'm Alive

Three years ago it was laid on our Pastors heart to honor and show recognition to our Church members while we are still alive to smell the flowers. The Senior members were honored the first year my Mom was apart of that group she was 90 years old then what a Blessing that was.
Last year the Millennials were recognized and honored. It has been received quite well. The committee only tell the family members when their loved one is being honored. So when you show up on Sunday for service you never know it could be you.
Each member that want to participate submit a short biography and a photo. Sunday I was surprised as I was recognized and honored. It is such a Blessing to receive your flowers while you are still alive and here to smell them. I was very surprised at all the people my daughter invited and showed up to support me in this service.
Every year in October there is a banquet where we all get together at a designated place and have a wonderful celebration. I'm so glad the Lord laid this on our Pastors heart to recognize our members while we are still alive to enjoy. We give God All the Honor for it All belongs to him.
