The Aftermath

.
Friday, September 8, 2017

Since my mother died in July from Lou Gehrig's Disease, I have been on Hiatus from my graphic novel drawing, dealing with the aftermath. I have 70 more pages to draw, and I need to continue. But I also feel I need to get others things done in order to move on. I am trying to move on with my life, wondering what to do next, besides working on my graphic novel. I have collected some items from her house that I can use or just have as keepsakes for nostalgic memories. My townhouse now looks different because I have been reorganizing and remodeling for the past month. It now looks like a Sophisticated Boho home decor, cozier than before. I am changing every day, and so is my townhouse. I am still waiting for the Association to fix a leaking roof, as well as my indoor cat to finishing getting all the mice. So far, my cat has killed 6 mice, while I accidentally killed 2 mice in the Hold & Release traps, which weren't supposed to kill any. It was supposed to just catch and trap them so I can set them free somewhere outside. (I am a vegetarian/vegan, and I don't like killing animals. That's my cat's job!). I feel like my life is constantly changing, and I am not sure what will happen next but I just hope it is positive.

I just returned from a Canon Experience Center Photography Gallery meetup about aviation. The photographer, Mike Kelley, displayed his manipulated photos, which were more like art. As I type this post, I noticed the time is 11:11 pm. I wonder what it is trying to tell me because I know these sequences are a sign of something.

LiaF7 I had the need to search the meaning of aftermath. Wasn't a word in my vocabulary, now it is. I also searched for your late mom's disease. Mourning takes time... sometimes some years. After one year things start getting to "normal"
