Sweet tribute to the heroes who fought against the fires of Vigo

The El Trigal pastry shop, which makes an original Easter cakes each year, has agreed this year of the heroes who fought the fires in Vigo and its entire region last October and have dedicated their figure this year to firefighters and brigadistas who fought day and night to quell the flames that affected the mountains and even the urban center of the city.

Thus, they have developed their particular sculpture of chocolate, in which a professional, perfectly characterized and equipped, is prepared to fight the fire. Around him, countless photographs that remember what he lived those fateful days of mid-October. To make it, the local has used the help of the fire department of Vigo and had one of them as a model.

However, since the establishment do not forget also the anonymous heroes, the thousands of citizens who went out to defend their land with their own hands, using the first utensil they found at hand. Because this particular Easter monkey has been made thinking also of "all of you who were firemen" forced "those fateful days for our territory," as they explain from El Trigal on their Facebook page, where they have posted several images of their creation .

The figure, which can be visited in the pastry shop throughout the month of March to admire it as a work of art, will be unraveled on Sunday, April 1, in order to split it "in a thousand pieces" so that all the customers can take "a piece for home".
