Questioning reason why Muslim attacker launched attack in London

.
Watching the service in London today to remember those who had lost their lives in the terrorist attack in London two weeks ago the Dean of the Cathedral asked why the attacker launched his attack.

Assembled there were the young royals, members of the police and other services, some MP's, Sadiq Khan London Mayor and people from all faith communities.

Now, this was all Jim and dandy and I am not knocking the fact of people coming together in a Christian house of worship. However, my question returns to the Deans question why?

Obviously, this man had been radicalised and this was the reason presumably for his attack in London. To me, this attack is no different to the attack on the train in Russia the other day, whether the attack is carried out by a lone wolf inspired by IS or AQ or is an organised attack by these groups the results are the same to the victims.

This man in London or the attackers in Russia believe they are fighting a war against infidels so the reason why they attack us is because of that reason. Yes, the Dean at Westminister was right to ask why saying it leaves us bewildered and saddened but we have been at war since 9/11 2001 we should not be surprised.

It is sad it takes attacks like the above to remind us we are at war with a radical brand of Islam and I am not saying Islam per se but never the less a form of Islam.

ze2000 I think the question "why" is irrelevant. The question should be "what are we doing to stop it".
