I have often read or heard that if you lose the first time, you should thank your stars, that is your blessing. The disease attacks mostly those who won that first time, the ones that experienced that overwhelming thrill and had a wonderful fantasy about how they were going to build an empire because, somehow, with some skill, and discipline this could become, in fact was going to be a huge source of income for them.

Do not allow yourself to get into the desperation stage, my warning is that it happens very fast. If you think gambling will become your source of income, please think again. Visit support groups, give up your bank cards to someone close that you trust, distract yourself positively, do not try to compete with others and gamble to achieve certain financial goals to match them, trust me they are battling their own problems, illnesses and demons too. My word is, compete against yourself, be a better you, work on you and before you know it you are so further ahead.
