The 'Iron Pillar' - Who Is He?
In our Sunday class today, our teacher discussed the 18th verse of the 1st chapter of the book of Jeremiah of the Bible, King James version.
It says, "For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar..."
The Lord God is talking to Jeremiah and informed him that he's chosen to be the prophet as God's mouthpiece to the people who dwindle in unbelief.
As God's prophet, Jeremiah shouldn't worry, shouldn't feel afraid and be discouraged for God.s is with him. He should be strong, brave, and have a strong, unwavering faith with his God as an "Iron Pillar."
We may differ in faith, in religion or whatever ideology as far as prophet and God are concerned. Let's respect each other. I just want relay how I feel about this scripture I have read and discussed in our class this Sunday.
