My Embroidery - Part 6

At the top of this article is another embroidery of my own design. The photos at the bottom are from parts 1 - 5 of 'My Embroidery'.
I went retro for a while and designed a few 1950's-ish pieces. I really enjoyed stitching this piece as anything goes in retro stuff... unless you were there the first time round, I guess.
I used plain, cream coloured poly-cotton fabric and two strands of embroidery silk. I used metallic thread to highlight and beads on some of the flowers.
The stitches were stem, satin and good old long and short so it didn't take long to complete.
I always embroider whatever I am currently making during Wimbledon fortnight as it's fits well to do a few stitches then stop and watch the game. I am all set for Wimbledon this year at the beginning of July.

LiaF7 › Looks great. But somehow the top bud looks abstract compared with the others.
