My Embroidery - Part 5

Today I want to share the piece of work in the photo at the top of this post. The photos at the bottom are from parts 1 - 4 of My Embroidery.
I made the piece for someone as a present. She told me what she wanted and I tried to stitch it for her. I am not proud of the result but it is important to acknowledge failures.
I used cream coloured, poly-cotton fabric and two strands of embroidery silk for most of the work. I added sparkly highlights on the butterfly wings and small flying bugs with one strand of metallic thread.
I decorated the centre of the flower with small pearl effect beads.
One thing I am pleased about... the recipient seemed to like it.
