BELOPALANČKO VRELO - "GIFT TO GOD"

Belopalanacko vrelo is the most beautiful part of Bela Palanka. The cresty composition of the mountain massifs of Suva planina and Svrljiška planina has formed underground water reservoirs and streams, from which there are known wells in the belopalanacka municipality, of which the most famous vrelo in Bela Palanka.

The vrelo is described by many travel writers and researchers as "gift of God" or "true blessing".

Around the very source, the very complex of the "Vrelo" park with a promenade surrounded by beautiful coniferous forest was formed.

Here you can see a monument - "Girl on the Wall", dedicated to the beautiful girl Beli who sacrificed her life to preserve the honor.
In the time of the Turkish occupation, a beautiful Serbian woman named Bela lived. She falls in love with the Turkish aga and asks her from her brother for a woman. The brother could not refuse and promised his sister's hand. The bride came to the bride and drove her. As they passed the Vrela, the girl asked her to allow her to come down from the horse and drink once again pure spring water. Without a doubt, nothing can allow that. The girl came down from the horse, dropped into the Vrelo and drowned. From that day, the Turks called the city by the name of the girl Ak Palanka (Bela Palanka).

Today on Vrelo, which is usually the most beautiful part of Bela Palanka, you can see a monument - "Girl on the Water", just dedicated to the beautiful girl Beli who sacrificed her life in order to preserve her honor.

In this beautiful place, one of our biggest manifestations "Days of Banica" is held - a manifestation that is widely recognized by a large number of both contestants and visitors.

When you are tired of walks, we recommend a restaurant "Vrelo" where you can relax, have a drink and have lunch. The restaurant offers primarily traditional foods such as banana, stuffed dried peppers and various other meals from the garden.

Above the Vrelo restaurant there is a summer stage, also surrounded by coniferous forests where you will feel very comfortable and watch the events throughout the flight with clean air. The first International Festival of "Esperanto of the World" was held on this stage. Today, various concerts, performances, festivals and events are held: the festival "Days of the game", "The First Accordion of Ponizva", "International Folklore Student Festival" ...
