THE CROSSROAD

BALABAG - a term in our local dialect meaning "barrier" "obstacle". It may also mean "roads or paths crossing each other" - crossroads.
In the crossroads, we often make decisions - correct or wrong, stupid or wise ones. This is where we oftentimes doubt ourselves, the choices that we make in our journey. But for those who are brave enough and willing enough to conquer the "barriers" and obstacles, this is where we take a deep breath, summon all sorts of the courage that's left in our guts and made that final push to finish the journey.
Symbolical enough, the school where I am teaching is in a crossroad. And true enough, day by day I make decisions here. I cried here because for so many times, it had made me doubt myself. But today, just this afternoon, my 4-year old cub and my wife met me in this very crossroad, smiling, just got of from our local church..

I did my best to overcome things in distress from students' welfare, to stakeholders' involvement, to teachers' personal and work-related dilemma. Thru God's or divine intervention at least I did what I can do.
