The above pictures are showing the different aspects of what Blackpool Community Action Team does. Blackpool Community Action Team is the brainchild of Pastor James Baker whose vision it is to transform the lives of Blackpool people and their surrounding areas.
This is done by co-operating with Blackpool and the Fylde College, Blackpool Council and others whereby volunteers get the chance to train in gardening/landscaping skills so they get the chance to build self-esteem about themselves and be ready to find employment. The same is true for volunteers who come to work in our office where they have the chance to learn what it is like in a busy admin office and then go and find employment.
Blackpool Community Action Team with the help of volunteers transforms overgrown gardens and areas of land back into manageable and tidy spaces. Volunteers have the opportunity to become responsible for these areas of tidied land while still volunteering for Blackpool Community Action Team.
So having explained a little of what we do we have put in a bid for funding so that we can keep transforming lives and communities for the better. So, folks, I ask you to please follow the following link and vote for us to secure this funding:
