DOBERMAN

.
OrigineGermania,
Historic breed This breed was created in Germany at the end of the nineteenth century by L.F. Doberman and brought to the present form by another fellow Otto Goller. Several crosses were made starting from the German Pinscher and continuing with Rottweiller, the English hound, Menchester terrier, Weimaraner and the current version.

Physical Description This is a large, robust, muscular dog with elegant movements. It has a long trapezoidal head. The skull is flat and long, conical with the nose-colored fur. The eyes are oval, dark-colored almonds. The ears are tied up, left at birth and cut proportionally to the head to be raised. It has a long and muscular neck, and the tail is cut short. The back line is easily left to the tail. The hair is short, straight, well glued and glossy. It can have the colors: black, brown inches, blue or brick with rusty spots over the eyes, on the snout, neck, chest, paws and under the tail.

Personality It is a smart dog, very energetic, courageous, vigilant, with an excellent sense of smell, with aggressive tendencies, a living temperament, and a determined attitude. It is loyal to the family but especially to a person. She is reluctant to foreigners and not too patient with her children. They must socialize little to understand other animals in the household and other dogs.

Care of this dog's coat does not require too much care. A coarser glove can be used to remove dead hair during the pouring period. Regular deworming is recommended to avoid the inflammation and irritation that may occur.

Living Conditions This dog feels good outdoors with the ability to make a lot of movement alongside an active master with a lot of experience in raising dogs. Requires socialization, training, exercises.

Training This dog needs a person experienced in dog training. The training should be gentle but firm without being tough and should not be forced from too young. If he/she is not properly trained, he may become either fearful or violent. Being a robust, sturdy dog needs a lot of movement, likes to run, swim and participate in various canine activities.

Utility It is an excellent watchdog and defense dog, a trustworthy companion that inspires safety. It is used with good results and as a companion for blind people, especially females. It is used successfully in the army and police.
