.
Devin Towers - an archaeological site two kilometers south of Porec village Devich. The site is about seven kilometers to Makedonski Brod, in the direction towards Samokov. The fortress is located on a hill that rises at a height of about 75 meters above the riverbed of the Treska River. In this place, the river makes a big bandage and surrounds the building on three sides.
The site is a late-antique and medieval building. On the flattened peak many parts of the defensive wall have been preserved around the top enclosing space with dimensions of 150 x 80 meters. Inside the fortress there are two towers, one of which has preserved walls and up to a height of five meters. The Bedem and the towers are built of crushed stone and lime plaster and are 1.5 meters thick. In the upper part of the fortress there is a large water tank. In the southern foothills, the left bank of Treska has a square structure whose walls are up to five meters high. On the surface of the fortress, as well as on all sides of the slopes, there are remnants of building material, roofing shingles, fragments of ceramic vessels, pitos. [According to the legend, in the towers lived two of the four sisters of King Marko, Virgo and Peshna. The first lived in the tower that was the strongest fortress in the entire region, while the second lived in the fortress at the entrance of the Peshna Cave.
