Bloomington Fire Department rescues a dog that fell into an icy pond

.
In my humble opinion firefighters are the real unsung heroes in America since they risk their lives and limbs making daring rescues of humans and animals that are not going to be on the national news.
Case in point is the story of a dog whose gender and name was not released for whatever reason who fell into a frozen pond in the 8200 block of Penn Avenue South on Wednesday.
Even though we are in the spring at the moment, the ponds and lakes in the state of Minnesota are not safe to walk on whether it is a human or animal since think ice is a very dangerous venture for anyone to walk.
The Bloomington Fire Department officials have had to use social media to warn people not to walk on lakes and ponds that have thin ice since the authorities might not be able to rescue every human or animal that takes the chance of risking life and limb by gambling with their lives walking on thin ice whether it is a pond or lake.
