MUNTII BUCEGI

The Bucegi Mountains extend along the upper part of the Prahova Valley, in the eastern part of the Southern Carpathians, and look majestic towards the towns sprawled like pearls in this valley: Predeal, Azuga, Busteni, Poiana Tapului, Sinaia. Within the Bucegi Mountains, on the territory of Brasov there are several protected sites, which have the status of a natural reservation: the abrupt Bucsoiului, the Malaiesti Valley and the Gaura Valley, where most black goats retreated. The protected area also enters the upper part of the spruce forests where the goats retreat in the winter. In these areas are also protected other animals: lasagna, mountain rooster and many rare flora species.
