Maliah had awaken to the sounds of plates smashing, kitten utensils clattering and windows squeaking. All she could hear were distant voices, yet those voices were oh-so familiar as she he a her mother screaming and struggling. Maliah's thoughts paused as her mothers scream reached a crescendo. Barely decent, Maliah rose from her bed, as she heard rapid,' pacing footsteps heading towards the door and heavy panting. As Maliah slowly ascended the stair case she heard nothing -- it was quiet - far too quiet. As she turned the corner she made her way to the kitchen, her mother was no where to be seen at first.
Thereafter she noticed a leg reaching out of the door way, with abraisions, bloody cuts... "M-mum?" Exclaimed Maliah. She ran into the conservatory, her mother Idego was unresponsive...There was crimson blood, surrounding her mothers battered body and botched face. Maliah bent over to check her not.
pulse. Feeling asphyxiated from distress, she could barely breathe. Maliah reached in her back pocket swiftly for her phone and dialed '999'.
As she waits for the ambulence to arrive, her mother brief to regains consciousness, barely unable to speak she calls for her daughters name indistinctly, and then becomes unconscious again. Subsequently, after waiting with her mother the ambulance arrive swiftly and surely. The Ambulance make their way to the conservatory, and start to assemble their medical equipment. When they had asked Maliah what had happened she had proclaimed that she heard noises from upstairs, and someone leaving the house...
