Sage - You can cut the fresh flowers and use them as a decoration on a cake, use them to make herbed vinegar, pour hot water over them for tea, or dry and store them to use in the winter, when fresh flowers are rare.
African Iris - Was first described as a genus in 1866. Common names include wood iris, Fortnight lily, African iris, Japanese iris and Butterfly iris.
African Daisy - In its native South Africa, the African daisy bursts into bloom when the spring rains come, although in gardens plants bloom copiously all summer. There are several different varieties, but the native species has pearly white flowers centered with steel-blue and encircled with a narrow, yellow band.
Last, but not least, the Prickly pear cactus! It represents about a dozen species of the Opuntia genus in our North American deserts. All have flat, fleshy pads that look like large leaves. The pads are actually modified branches or stems that serve several functions -- water storage, photosynthesis and flower production.

LiaF7 › Beautiful Kim. I have a problem with wild flowers, love them, but don't know the name of most of them. Except for the African Iris, the rest are very familiar to me :)
