Child photography is one of my favorite pass times. Sunday my grandson visited and chased beautiful robins on the lawn.

For photos, I sit and wait patiently with the phone camera app open when the children visit, watching for ungaurded moments such as this and Ipray that I capture the passing emotions I see.

What is he thinking? The evening light plays perfectly on his innocent face. This photo taken with Moto X Pure edition. No editing done apart from slight cropping. Photo copyright by @wandrnrose7

Winter's kiss lingers long in Western Pennsylvania, but Summer comes and all its heat and humidity. The newly planted purple Morning Glories drink up the delicious sun and heat. On a break yesterday I left the building and encountered this beauty. The photo was captured in early afternoon with plenty of natural light using my Moto X Pure Edition smartphone. No editing was done on this photo apart from slight cropping was done on the native camera app. Photo copyrighted by @wandrnrose7

Meet my adorable feline, Newt. Adopted from a deserted wood, he grows more handsome by the day. Beautiful black, white and tabby stripes his quick, agile steps tread room to room and dominates the home he claimed as his own.

I feel deeply with regards to pets, and am a proponent of spay and neuter programs. Abandoned pets are an embarrassment to a culture. It's not too much to expect pet owners to be responsible to spay and neuter their pets.

What are your feelings about pet abandonment?

Living Dreams

This living dream
Perpetual streams
Music, a dance
sunlight filtered
Dapples trees
Lotus drifting
Endlessly.
Fragile holding
Tranquility.

Her smile
Sailing on promises
And red wine
Colors his air
And warms his skin
Today & always
Captive again.

At long last my car passes state inspection today. What an expensive Spring it has been. She's sporting new front and back brakes and rotors, struts, control arms, wiper blades, a new sway bar and two license plate bulbs. Today the shop aligned the car. Thanks to my two talented sons the cost was under $1000. The price at a shop would have reached $2000+. In November this 2006 Buick Lacrosse will be paid off from the five year bank loan.

I bought her with 40k miles at $14k. It now has over 180k miles. Each work day I put an average of 100+ miles on her commuting to work. Overall, a good car, I rarely encounter breakdowns and she is very reliable and luxurious in comfort with adjustable heated seats and a nice stock sound system. But as cars age, they are destined to experience costly repair. I hope after the loan is paid off in November that she will continue to be dependable since the inspection is good for a year. Do you have a work vehicle? Used or new?

ze2000 Cars are expensive machines with lots of little bits that can stop working at any time. The solution is to have a veeeery cheap car where parts and repairs are inexpensive, but we all like to have nice big cars. It's the price we pay for our vanity I suppose.

Wandrnrose7 This is true. The Buick parts were all individually under $100 but when you need multiple in a month or two then you get in a sticky place @z2000 😉

I'm a very lucky Mom to have two sons who know how to repair cars. In a thunderstorm they replaced a sway bar and front brakes and rotors Saturday afternoon. Inspection set for next Saturday.
