So we have a hung parliament?

So back to 2010 or so, it seems we have yet another hung parliament, hung, all politicians should be hung as far as I am concerned. So what happens now well Tim Farron learning from Nick Clegg's adventures in a coalition government with the Tories has ruled out any deals with Labour or the Tories.

Labour said it would be willing to put itself forward as a minority government but will it seek a kind of coalition from the SNP and others to prop up its minority government? Right now with the Tories being the biggest party though they fall short of an overall majority they are seeking to leap into bed with the Northern Irish DUP in a loose arrangement it seems not like the Lib-Dem/Conservative coalition government of 2010.

It seems according to Laura Kuennsburg talks have been going on between the Tories and DUP for some time now. Not necessarily talking about coalition government but backing each other on things they agree on.

The DUP would never do an agreement with Jeremy Corbyn because of his meetings with the IRA and Sinn Fein back in his early days. It seems with Theresa May going to see the Queen she is going to carry on as Prime Minister for now with Brexit talks just days away. For their part, the EU Brexit negotiation team have said they will wait until the UK has a viable government to conduct the Brexit talks with.

Theresa May when she called the snap election thought she was going to walk the election as all the signs seemed right but it appears she miscalculated big time and took the public for granted. Well she has had an almighty slap to the face from the British voters which has left her visibly shaken and I wonder can she limp on now she has become weakened by the results of this election.

Poor old Paul Nuttall and UKIP had a terrible night which to me is a shame because they had some good policies like reducing the overseas aid budget and putting it back into the NHS or welfare or creating jobs in the UK. Does Farage yet again have to make the comeback of comebacks to steer UKIP through yet another crisis until another leader emerges just before their party conference in September?

Corbyn was much maligned and taken as a left wing idiot by many including many in Labour and how wrong are they today? If anything Corbyn emerges as a much stronger man in the Labour party and in politics in general but will he get the chance to enter 10 Downing Street who knows.

One thing is for sure politics may have returned for the moment as a straight fight between the Conservatives and Labour but with a hung parliament and the volatile political situation that we now face anything is possible.
