On December 8, in the distant 1991, the then Yugoslav and European champions, Crvena Zvezda team( Red Star) won the title of the World Club Football Championship after defeating Chilean Kolo Kolo 3-0 in Tokyo.
With the title in Tokyo, the "red and white" rounded off the most successful year in the history of Yugoslav sport. In the same year, Red Star won the title in the European Champions Cup (KESH), the European club champion in basketball became Jugoplastika, and the Yugoslav basketball team triumphs at the European Championship which was played in Italy.
The Red Star team after 1991 did not have the treatment it deserves, that is, as a world champion, because in the territory of Yugoslavia wars started, and the United Nations (UN) started the sanctions.
