Working on my 2nd Novel

.
I am a college grad with no job connections. So, after going back to school to get my Exec. MBA and Graphic Design certificate, I wrote, edited, and self-published my first novel on lulu.com. I wrote it in a journal format, in which the main character, Fiona, writes about her journey and self-discovery. It is kind of like The Devil Wears Prada because my first novel starts with my main character trying to find work after college, but she goes on a totally different path and journey. Now, I am working on a second novel, which will be a graphic novel as well as a prequel to the first novel. I didn't realize that drawing a graphic novel would be harder and more work because drawing is more fun, but I now realize that it is also very draining. It takes me a whole day to draw one page, and then I need a break to relax, eat a snack, and take a break. It is taking me forever to draw this graphic novel, while it took me within one year to write my first novel, although I edited it like a million times.

So, I came on the internet to take a break, blog, and check out different sites on the internet.

The first two pictures that I posted here are the promotional postcards that I designed in Illustrator and Photoshop for my first novel. The third picture is my first novel's front cover that I drew in Illustrator.

P.S. I don't know why the fourth picture I posted here turned out upside down. It is just a page from the rough draft drawing of my current graphic novel.

fifileigh I found a book at a used book sale at the college, which has writer's block Exercises by Natalie Goldberg. That helped me generate some ideas when I got stuck.
