Why I am against fracking

.
Where I live in Blackpool Mereside estate to be precise there is a lot of building activity going on. They are building a new police station and there are new flats and houses going up some to be rented and some to be bought.

It seems there is a boom in the building history and this will come as welcome news to those working in that industry and those hoping to rent or buy their first home or just another home.
I understand all of that, however, what about all the green land that is being put aside for this use and what about wildlife and its knock-on effect on them as I said my bird article yesterday?

Then we have the sore subject of fracking not far from where I live in a place called Little Plumpton. Right now as I write this work is taking place in green fields in that area and besides that, there are protesters there every day highlighting the dangers of the fracking industry.

Lancashire County Council voted to not have fracking in this area and people thought that was that. How they were wrong, the central government decided to overrule this democratic decision and go ahead with it anyway riding roughshod over local opinion and local government.

I don't doubt that fracking can be cheaper fuel and create much-needed jobs, however, what about the environmental aspect to this? The only ones highlighting this are the protesters and good luck to them.
