Studying - What are examiners looking for?

.
So I haven't written a proper article in a while. And I wanted to base this article on fear of examinations and also university grades. Usually a lot of people pass in university, acquiring lower seconds, but it's said that universities rarely hand out first class degrees. So why is this? Is it because they dont believe students are academically competent enough to acquire this grade or even match up to it. And if supposedly, the threshold between a second class and a first class degree was quite small could this open up the opertunity for other students with less confidence in their academic ability to do well.

I've been attending university for about 5 months. So far I've written so many essays, about 7. It was stressful but in the end I got there. Many students are worried about their academic ability and so we ease our stress by drinking, partying going out. But I believe that what will help students thrive academically if they believe they are struggling is a study regmine. Study time tables are adequate sources of how to keep your studying and organisation in check. It helps you to devote a specific amount of time to a particular subject and allows you to move onto the next study plan, and so on. Organisation is key, it helps you plan for the future and so on. I remember when I had a fear of studying and fearing that I would not have the capacity to remember information at secondary school put my favourite motivational quote was 'True courage is knowing what not to fear'(Plato). It really helped me to remember that I shouldnt be fearful of grades, i mean afterall they cant harm u! They can only remind you of what you need to improve on or what you have already improved on

Also, I have found that when I am writing an essay, I find it is affective to answer the essay question objectively. When writing at university level, examiners do not want to see words like 'i think' 'i believe', they want to see substantiated detailed analysis. They want to see that you have the ability to correctly reference your work to avoid plaigerism; they want to see that you have excellent grammatical skills, lastly they want to see that you can carry an argument through in your essay and insert a conclusion that is concise, that reinstates your initial theisis and so on. Also, key terms examiners are always looking for words that adhere to that particular subject, so if your subject is law your key words are: Accountibility; stare decisis; case-by-case, objectivity and so on. If it's economics its...well I have no clue lol but you get the picture. Relevent key words to your course can really boost marks when you expand on them..

Lastly, I do not know what grade I will get when or If I finish University...but I do know that this year will be challenging as I study law. It gets progressively harder as the years proceed. But, I will be getting my next grades in the next 17 days or so so I really am hoping for the best everyone. I will let you know how I do, although, I am not entirely confident...I hope God will show me what my true ability is...
