Nexplanon Implant

.
So basically I've recently had the Nexplanon birth control implant fitted, after discovering that apparently if you anxiety so bad that it leads to high blood pressure, you will not be allowed to go on the pill. I didn't think my anxiety was too bad, but according to doctors, my blood pressure was high enough for the pill to be dangerous.

I considered the injection, but eventually decided to go for the implant as it means not having to return for three whole years, and also it's the best for preventing pregnancy. I've decided to blog about it mainly for any women out there who have the same problems with anxiety and high blood pressure, or who are considering the implant purely for convenience.

I'm a week in so far and as to now no major side effects, but my arm has been aching and any kind of impact does hurt. I can feel the plastic rod inside my arm all the time, and when I took the bandage off, the bruise is yellow and there was blood on the bandage... I'm not sure if this is normal, but I will let you know how it goes. I feel a little emotional, but assume it's just my body getting used to the change in hormones.

Will let you know how it pans out, watch this space if you are interested.
