My Embroidery - Part 4
.
Today I want to share another piece of my work that hangs in my hallway. The picture of it is at the top of this post. The pictures at the bottom of this post show work from previous articles.
I used a large variety of stitches to represent the plants, flowers and the cottage.
I used 2 strands of embroidery silk for most of it but I used wool for the thatched roof and plants in the foreground.
I used plain, white cotton fabric.
It took years to complete as I didn't work on it all the time. I enjoyed doing it but now I see all the faults :)

LiaF7 › Looking at it by your photo it looks perfect and very nice. But of course looking at it with a closeup eye it must have another view. The more we know about something, the more we seek perfection and see our faults.
Flutterbydee › you are very wise Lia, thank you for your comment :)
HazySue › Beautiful picture and beautiful work. I do a lot of cross stitch. They all are hard work but so worth it.
