Roman Emperor Julian is called  the Apostate, because 37 years after Christianity was founded in 325 AD, he tried to shelter the Essenes who still survived and were practicing underground.

Julian called the Christians GALILEANS , a derogatory term.


Roman Emperor Julian was the last non-Christian ruler of the Roman Empire, and it was his desire to bring the Empire back to its ancient glorious Roman values .  He restored destroyed and vandalized pagan temples of Rome.
