World's strongest coffee is now available in America

Americans can now purchase what is possibly the world's strongest coffee. It has 1.7 times more caffeine than the FDA's daily recommended intake. The coffee, called Black Insomnia, can be purchased by the point at Amazon. However, consumers should know that the recommended daily intake of caffeine is 400mg.

The founder of Black Insomnia is Sean Kristafor. He started his company back in June 2016. When he first started out, we was selling his coffee to cafes in Cape Town, South Africa.

Kristafor is proud of his coffee creation. He said that if companies want to stand out, then they need to either be the cheapest, largest or the strongest. That's why he set out to create the strongest coffee in the world. Caffeine Informer is a consumer info site and it has dubbed Black Insomnia as the deadliest coffee around.

Caffeine can cause issues
Caffeine in high amounts, such as the amounts in Black Insomnia, can cause a number of issues. For starters, it can cause jitteriness. It can cause insomnia, as well as heart palpitations. Kristafor had his coffee beans tested against his competitors because he wanted to provide he had the world's strongest coffee.

In comparison, Starbucks' dark roast coffee contains around 21.25mg of caffeine per fluid ounce. Black Insomnia is more than twice that. Kristafor said that a 12-ounce cup of the coffee would contain up to 702mg of caffeine. The coffee is not aimed towards new coffee drinkers, and it is more for those who have a tolerance for coffee and need something a little bit stronger.

Caffiene does have potential benefits
Caffeine does have potential benefits. In 2013, a study released by John Hopkins University showed that a caffeine pill (200mg) boosted memory consolidation. Some studies have revealed that caffeine can reduce liver fibrosis risk and kidney stone risk. However, coffee needs to be consumed in safe amounts in order to experience those benefits.

It is fair to say that consumers to be careful. It's probably not best to try Black Insomnia if you are not a regular coffee drinker. For now, those who want to purchase it can do so on Amazon.
