Halloween or masquerade masks

I know many of you here celebrate or just take a participation in Halloween. In Europe, in Croatia, we have something similar, called masquerades or maškare, in original.

It is divided in big and small masquerades, according to school age and, it's usually the last two weeks of February, before Candlemas. Children knock on your door and, if you open them, they could receive either fruits, eggs or money. I must admit, they could be aggressive; knocking or ringing too much :)

As a primary school child, I wore silly masks and costumes like Red Riding Hood or I would just buy a plastic cat alike mask.

In high school, I didn't have to but we could show up in our costumes. I was a female Karate Kid. I took a white jumper from my grandma, used some light fabric as a belt on my waist and my forehead, I wrote Chinese characters on a paper and placed them on my jumper and that was it.

If I could wear a mask again, I think I would be The Grim Reaper; s/he seems cool. AT least, in Kdrama :)
