The Chinese and (especially) Japanese are more branched and flattened, [6] while the rest have an upright massive tree with large densities. [4] The leaves of European and American get a striking yellow color in autumn. [7]
The bark is smooth when the tree is young and has reddish-brown color in the American [9] and gray in European chestnut. With growth, the Americans become gray and darker, with a thick stubble. The folds go along the length and know how to wrap around a trunk like a twisted switch. [4]
Male and female fries of chestnut
The leaves are forgiving, egg-shaped or sparse, 10-30 cm long, with a width of 4-10 cm. The seals are spaced at a certain distance and have sharp tips with veins. [10]
The flowers appear on the leaves at the end of the spring, in the beginning of the summer, [4] or in July. [5] They are arranged in long strips of male and female type [5] - both of the same wood, and have a striking odor. [9] Some rattles are made up of only male flowers that engulf first. Each flower has eight pillars, while the Chinese chestnut has 10 to 12. [11] Other fishes have pollen blossoms, but they also have female fertile flowers in the female twig. Two to three colored joints form a four-part spiny horsetail, which later adheres and envelops the fetus. [4
