What I will take to South Africa for my Safari

Hi,

Next month I am going holidays to South Africa. I will do a safari to see the animals in the Kruger National Park. Here I have attached the pictures of the things that I will take with me to make my life easier. Here we go.

First I am renting a 4x4 modified for camping, with a tent on top, water tank, battery support system, kitchen facilities (gas portable kitchen) and big fuel tank. During the night we cannot drive and we will have to stay in a camping area inside the park, so we need all this things to survive.

We need also a GPS to travel from Johannesburg to the Kruger National Park. It's like 3 or 4 hours away (yes, I will have a long drive) :(.

Obviously we need maps of the park with all the possible routes and paths that we can take and also the camping sites.

Binoculars are needed o see the animals on the distance.

A good camera is essential to take good pictures of your adventure!

I am renting a satellite Mobile Phone just in case if something goes wrong and I need to call the emergency services or something.

I am taking a Hiking Backpack with all my spare clothes and equipment that might be useful.

A water canteen with clean and nice fresh water.

a sleep bag just in case I feel uncomfortable in the tent on top of the car.

Canned food to make sure that we will survive as I don't expect a Sainsbury's in the Savannah.

UV torch to see the scorpions and other dangerous little insects during the night walks.

A torch to see where I am going during the night. (Captain Obvious).

Mosquito repellent to avoid being eaten alive.

Anti malaria tablets, because the mosquito on that area bring a lot of dangerous diseases with them, and one of them is the Malaria. I am expecting to come back alive to the UK.

And finally, I need a blanket because the nights over there probably are going to be quiet cold.

So that's it, if I remember something else that I should take I will add it, and obviously I will take thousands of pictures!
