Santa Trahamunda Legend, Galicia

.
Santa Trahamunda was a nun who lived in the convent of San Martiño with her sisters, who belonged to the order of San Bieito.
The Moors, who had invaded Spain, arrived in Galicia and took as loot the beloved girls as a gift for their sultan.
One day was Trahamunda feeding the sheep on the hedgehog that was where our school is now, and the Moors arrived. As it was very beautiful, they took it to the sultan's harem, so that it was one of the many women there. She refused and was locked in a dungeon.
That's how time went by, until Saint John's day arrived. Trahamunda was very sad: he remembered the sisters and felt great anceias to return to Poio. In his dreams he appeared to him an angel who put a palm polynutus on his hand. When he awoke he found himself in a meadow next to the convent. It was dawning and the friars of the monastery sang morning. He felt a great joy and there he even planted the palm that, with time, was growing. From here I went to the meadow called "Prado de la Palma".
Trahamunda lived for many years in the convent and when he died he was buried in the stone sartego that is preserved in the poio convent chapel.
