Eating Shrimp Could Kill.

Last month, I got hospitalized with severe allergic reaction due to eating of shrimps. I almost die, if not rushed within 20 minutes since the attack occurred . I was diagnosed of 'Anaphylaxis', it is a fatal kind of allergy that may take a life of someone in more or less than half an hour. During my attack, my heart pounded so fast that I am catching out of breath with tightening of my chest and head. I feel so freaking hot and started coughing with severe itching all over my body, from head, to toes. My eyes starting swelling as well as my lips and face.
As soon as I arrived in the emergency room, I was given a shot of adrenaline, steroids, antihistamine and nebulizer so that I can start breathing normally. Within, 15-30 minutes, my condition started to become stable. I was able to breath properly and the itching was gone, after the medication took effect.
The doctor advised me to stay at the hospital for further observations incase of recurence, but I refused because of financial reasons. Luckily then, I was able to work and got better in the same day but still have some feeling a bit sick. That could be the side effects of medicine given to me.
From then on I was very careful of eating shrimps, I have to make sure that I have it fresh or better avoid eating it. I also have my medicine ready for anti-allergy, a precaution before consuming any.
