What is it really like being a stay at home mom??

Hello. Have you or someone you know ever been a stay at home mom?? Or do you wonder what it's like to have a full time job such as that?? Let me enlighten you.... I am a full time, around the clock stay at home mom. And I love it!! I wouldn't change it for the world. However, it does have its ups and downs. I decided to do this because I would rather be around my child for her first step, first word,etc.... as well as be there to teach her and raise her the way I want to. I honestly have a bit of an issue with childcare places. Why? Because I have heard so many different things about the way those places treat children. I just don't want to do the childcare thing at least until my daughter is a year old. And she just turned 8 months old.... And when I decide to put her in daycare, I will definitely be doing my research on the place.
I must say that there are downsides to being a stay at home mom.... mainly for myself it's not having a job and a steady income. Which means it's at times hard for me to make ends meet, especially with an infant. The other downside for me is no time for self, as far as relaxing and not worrying about the next bottle being made or diaper being charged etc.... But again, I wouldn't change it for the world. My work is never done, or at least it seems... I don't think that we get enough credit for the tasks and "job" either... Because there's nothing that we stay at home mom's don't do. We cook, clean, teach, you name it we do it... So with that being said, for me everyday is a great day since I am with my daughter... Don't get me wrong, some days are harder than others, but in the end it's all worth it.
