Information about 2019 Novel Coronavirus
It is not yet known which animal was responsible for the spread of the virus to humans. This is because coronaviruses are viruses which usually circulate animals. In some circumstances, some of these viruses jump from animals to humans thereby infecting humans.
This type of virus causes respiratory disease. Some people may experience mild symptoms whereas for others they might experience severe symptoms which can lead to death. This is especially the case of a person's lungs are affected.
It is not known how the virus is spread between humans or how it was spread from humans-to-humams during its initial spread.
While China is recording fewer cases of 2019-nCoV, the rest of the world is experiencing an upsurge of the disease especially in Italy and Iran. The disease is now pandemic as it has spread to over 100 countries. The majority of infection and deaths related to the coronavirus were recorded in China.
