The Spanish Civil War was an armed conflict that last from 1936 till 1939. The war started right after the coup failed. During the coup some parts of the army and generals from Africa like Yagüe, Franco or Mola tried to overtake the government of the republic to convert the country to the fascism. After the failed coup a war started, leaving hundreds of thousands dead behind and after, during the fascist dictatorship of Franco, who won the war. We can say that is one of the saddest periods of the Spanish history.
The republic supporters were called International Brigades volunteers, and anti-fascists from all around the glove fought in there as polish, english, the Battalion Abraham Lincoln from the USA, and much more. They had support from the URSS and most of the Spanish army and population.
On the other site, the winner site was formed by the Nazi air force called Luftwaffe, Italian troops from Mussolini, Irish Catholic volunteers, the Moor guard and other moor units from Africa and part of the Spanish army placed in Africa. Some of the spanish population supported the rebels.
