Good old Beatles
.
On this day in 1969, Beatles released their 11th album, named Abbey Road.
Surely you remember or you have listened to these tracks; Octopus's Garden, Here Comes the Sun, Because, She Came In Through the Bathroom Window and other. Today's songs could last up to 6-7 minutes, with intros, but these ones were shorter yet beautiful and meaningful.
On this same day, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appointed them (as a group) a title "Members of the Order of the British Empire", which they happily had received a month later.
Beatles split right after their last album, Let it be, in May 1970 therefore, these events before seem like an omen.
I must confess, I was more of a Rolling Stones fan yet, songs like Yesterday, Let It be, Hard Day's Night, She Loves You, Hello, Goodbye (their classic ones) made me a part of a history of music, in a way, although I had my first encounter with their music in a Music class in the early 2000s.
I believe, good old lads from Liverpool, like themselves, deserve this little tribute. Let them be :)
