There Will Be Time

.
According to Norman Cousins, death is not the greatest loss in life. What dies inside us while we live is our greatest loss.

Death is indeed life's reality. I witnessed deaths in my family when I was nine years of age. My mother died of leukemia at age 33. I never understood it then but I felt really sad, so sad that I could only cry and cry. My father also died when he was 55. I was pretty old enough and has a family of my own during that time. His death really never had caused me much sadness than I had with my mother.

There will be time
Yes there will be time
That all our hopes shall be surrendered
And hoping shall be no more...
There will be time to look back
And ask, what have I done?
Have I stood by the principle I professed?
Have I lived a life with meaning?
How did I treat people I met?
How did I spend time?
Did I value people who gave me importance?
Did I nurture myself through love and reflections
Or through self-hate and denials?

Indeed there wii be time...
And the questions are many...
And we would answer it alone by ourselves
Without the applauses of those we wanted to please..
Because in that time we will be walking .....

Everyone dies alone.
