Signs up on the shop

.

I passed along a high street Shops and guess what there were signs up on posters to catch the customers attention it says business rate going up from April please sign the petition but what is important about the poster is that the shops were being forced to close down because of the business rates going up in the local community high streets the government is trying to keep the business rates lower for small firms but the council isn't doing that so why does the business rate go up it's paying for length of stay over at the shop and renting for the shop and if that was going to the landlord why does the council need business rates payments where does this money go it goes to local service and how are local service in connection with business shops on high streets do the council provide them a store detective for each shop or cctv features or collection of waste I can only see collection of waste.

ze2000 High street retailers always complain. Years ago they would organise events to attract customer but now they don´t care, they expect the council so sort all their problems.

It is true though that councils are interested on moving the customer away from the town centres because it makes maintenance cheaper and they still get the rates from the bigger retailers.
