Salami is a cured sausage in a dry environment made of pork or beef (It depends). Salami is a Southern european mediterranean traditional food that use to be eaten by the poor people because it can last for more than 40 days at room temp once is open.
The word is of Italian origin.
The main producers of salami are: Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Hungary.
There is a lot of different types of salami. They can have pepper, salt, garlic, spices, herbs, wine, vinegar, there is so much things!
I tried so many types of salami, and I really recommend everyone to have a go. It´s delicious and you can eat it with everything. Salads, cheese, bread, everywhere!
