A really dangerous frog

.
In the wild there is a lot of animals, some of them are big, and some of them are really small, but the size is not just all that matters, as some of the little ones can be as lethal as the biggest ones.

The Golden poison frog is our little friend from the pacific coast of Colombia. It lives in the rain forests with high temperature and high rains. They live in groups as they are so social and, despite that they look innocuous due to their size and bright colors, they are lethally toxic.

This frog is an endemic specie based in 5000 square km of rain forest in Colombia. Their eggs are laid on the ground and after the tadpoles are taken to permanent pools.

There is a few variety of colors, like orange, mint green, white, or yellow. Regardless the color of the frog, they are equally lethal all of them.
The poison that they use it's an alkaloid toxin that stops the nerves from transmitting impulses to the muscles, leaving them in a inactive state of contraction that can lead to a heart failure. This kind of frog can store the poison for years, and it doesn't deteriorate even when it is placed in another surface. They just use the poison as a self-defense, not to hunt a prey.

The diet basically consists in ants, termites, beetles and many different small invertebrates that inhabits the rain forests of Colombia.
