Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden is still confident in his roster of running backs. So what if the the run game was 28th in rushing yards, 30th in yards per carry, 28th in yards per carry before contact and 20th in yards after first contact.
Doug Williams, Redskins’ senior vice president of player personnel has said they were going to get the situation under control. I think only Draft day will show how much of that is taken seriously.
Meanwhile the Washington Redskins waived running back LeShun Daniels on Thursday. Daniels appeared in four games last season for Washington and gained 14 yards on three carries. Redskins running back Chris Thompson said Monday he will get to run on the field for the first time since undergoing leg surgery in November. Last season was the season for injuries and for anyone that could run the ball to get a crack at holding the fort down to do so.
