The water museum on the peninsula Gradishte in Ohrid is a place where you can feel the prehistory, where you can see in what kind of settlements the people had been livin around 3.200 years ago and to feel how it would be to be living under watera.
You observe the fires made of mud ,axes made of stone and the bed made of straw,
thinking how much teffort and labor would have taken to the people living in the Bay of Bones to build 20 wooden house on a platform of 6.000 wooden poles.
The sole connection of the settlement with the land had been the wooden bridge,which most probably was mobile and at the same time served for protection of the settlement against attacks from the cost.
Observing the wooden houses made of poles,plastered with mud one bu one you can feel the spirit of the ancient the fires made of mud ,axes made of stone and the bed made of straw.
